The more you move the mouse, the faster your hamster will run in that direction. To play with the mouse, push your mouse in the direction you want the hamster to run. Hamsterball can be controlled with a mouse, trackball, keyboard, or joystick. Since crashing or cracking a hamster takes up time, the less you crash, the better you'll do. Your only true obstacle in Hamsterball is time. Whenever you crash a hamster via a long fall or collision with an enemy, you will receive a new hamster, materializing somewhere nearby. You can crack, smash, and all-around abuse your hamster as much as you want. There are two different game modes: The Tournament Game is a race against a countdown clock and the Time Trial game is good for practicing, since you can never lose! They both have shallow slopes and a zigzag ending slide.Welcome to Hamsterball, the Rowdiest Rodent Racer game of all time! Your job is to roll your Hamster from the race's start to the goal in the least amount of time! Long falls, dangerous enemies, and other hazards can cause your hamster to get dizzy, crack, or even go spinning off into space! This race seems showing respect to Practice Race in Marble Madness.The race has a total of eight regular ramps and one special ramp.Although the floor for the race is composed of salmon-pink/white checkers, the flags for the race are composed of black and white checkers. The Warm-Up Race shares the same checker color with the Glass Race.The Warm-up Race does not have an arena unlock as the arena is unlocked by default. To attain a Golden Weasel Award, a time of 6.6 seconds is required.To attain a gold medal, a time of 7.6 seconds is required. To attain a silver medal, a time of 10.3 seconds is required.To attain a bronze medal, a time of 15.0 seconds is required.The times needed to be rewarded for the Warm-up Race are as follows: A warning symbol is marked on the floor for the winding ramp at the very end, but it is not possible to crash going down the ramp. At the bottom of the ramp is the goal, flanked by two more checkered flags. The warning symbol, flanked by two black-and-white checkered flags, marks a winding ramp down which the player has no control over the hamster. Arrows mark the correct way as the player makes their way down two more ramps to the first warning symbol of the game. A rail prevents the player from falling off as the path diverges into a left decline and a right decline, and then quickly converges again. The race begins atop a platform with a decline to the lower left that leads to a platform with a decline at the bottom. The race has a pink color scheme, with a purple background, light pink walls, and a light pink-red/white checker pattern.
